UPCOMING EVENTS:

Mondays with Mary - Mondays @ 6:30 - This event will be happening about twice a month and will move from house to house. We'll get together to pray the rosary and have fellowship. Please feel free to bring a friend.

The Great Adventure Bible Study - Sundays @ 10:10 am - This 24 week bible study will cover the bible more indepth than the previous study but will have all the humor and fun of the last one. It will also be offered on a bi-weekly basis with make-up session on Wednesday night in-between for those of us who travel on the weekends. Please come out and join us for as many sessions as possible.

Theology on Tap (once a month on Friday 7:30 pm) will be back after taking a Lenten hiatus! All new speakers, all new location, all new topics! We always have a great time and learn even more. Come out and learn more about the Catholic faith in a relaxed atmosphere. Have a little beer, hear a little Jesus, hang with your friends.

Martha and I (Deirdre) have been getting together on Sunday afternoons from 1-5pm and working on scrapbooks. We're having a blast, and I would like to extend the invitation to all the ladies or gents to join us. It's sort of like the quilting circle of old! It doesn't matter if you use Creative Memories. We just want you to join us if you can. Bring your stuff and drop in and out at your leisure.

Possible Creative Memories Workshop on how to make an album in less than two hours.
There is a charge involved, so I (Deirdre) need to see if there is any interest in this. We can make paper albums, and the cost will be $35.95, which includes the album, a tape runner and a corner rounder plus shipping and tax. Who We Are:

We are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Danville, VA. We are all between the ages of 18 - 35ish and we come together to serve, socialize and build our spirituality.

What is our purpose:

We gather together in the name of Christ our Lord to worship, serve the community, and socialize.

Why should you join:

Joining the group allows us to keep you up-to-date on the lastest YAM activity and allows you the chance to join the leadership team in planning activities. YAM is a growing group that is only as strong and lively as the members. Please join us in building the body of Christ.

How To Join:

Simple, just show up! We are working hard to plan activities and keep our website up-to-date. If you have any question please feel free to contact any member and they will be happy to help you out. You do not have to be Catholic to be a part of this group. Anyone who is open to listening to other people discuss their beliefs is welcomed to join and encourage to become an active member of the group.

Events with no Pictures

Fall Party (Oct 4th)
We had a great turn out! We had kids playing in the yard. Wine was flowing. Lasagna was eaten by the ton. Wish you would have been there!

2nd Faith Night
Much larger turn out! A good time was had by all even though the Braves lost. Can't wait for next season to do it all over again!

Tomahawk Wine Festival
This was sort of an impromptu outing. Ray, Martha and Deirdre went to the festival. It was actually pretty awesome. There were some good wines, and some not so good wines. They had different craft booths with people peddling their wares. We have no pictures because the camera battery died. But good wine and good company made for an enjoyable afternoon.

Faith Night July 22nd

Well, it was a small gathering, but we had fun anyway! Deirdre and Martha discussed issues pertaining to the Church, and to Sacred Heart, and we got wind of Ray and Anthony talking about the new Bentley. Deirdre wore most of the mustard on her hot dog. It was incredibly hot outside, but it was nothing that a little food and a cold beer couldn't cure. Deirdre spent half the time with her hands over her head because she had been hit by a baseball once and didn't want to experience it again. We hope we get a better turn-out for the next Faith Night, which is some time in August. We have pictures from this event, but they're too big to load on this wiki. Great game, Danville Won! Good Hot Dogs (they were only $1). Cheap Ticket (only $2). Cool Beer ($3.75 for a 20 oz.). This was a great event so come out to the next one on August 22nd!

YAM 1st Meeting

Here are the pictures from our first meeting. We had plenty of good and a great turn-out and even did some event planning! Please join us for our next event.
